My first love and area of expertise is textiles but I also write about art, architecture, design, travel and craft - especially if it involves textiles.
I am a South African born Australian, currently living in Dubai. I have first hand knowledge and understanding of African, Asian and Australian lifestyle and culture. I studied architecture and writing but my love and knowledge of textiles came naturally.

Testimonials - artists:
I enjoyed being interviewed by Ansie. She is bright, friendly and inquisitive and made me feel very comfortable when talking about my work. The finished blog post was a very well expressed and positive view on the work that I do. For me, it is wonderful to have the ideas and goals behind my work expressed so well. It is a useful piece for me to show others about the work that I do.

Ansie’s interview style is very straightforward with easily readable questions. Seamless from start to finish. I loved the finished article. It was written to the highest standard and elevated my work beautifully. The article layout was perfect and beautifully put together.

Ansie has a great talent for writing and I am most grateful for her understanding of our work.
I was really touched by some of her comments and so happy that she loved her visit to our Studio.
I was a little nervous at first as I’m not confident about explaining my ideas or talking about my work. I soon felt comfortable as we eased our way into the conversation and I felt that Ansie understood and connected with my work. Her interview helped me untangle my process, which is so internal, and it contributed to my being able to make some sense during the talk I gave at the Art Gallery soon after the article was published.
I was shocked but thrilled at the impact on the page, as was the team at WellMade. The article was great – Ansie managed to distill the essence of me and my work, and it ended on such a poetic note. I’ve had lots of positive feedback about the article.

Testimonials - clients:
Ansie's ideas for articles have always been fresh and innovative. After brainstorming she comes back with an array of creative ideas, taking our initial concept one step further. She loves to think outside the box and her finished articles always reflect the extensive research she has undertaken, and the attention to detail to capture a personality, the charm of an event, or the steps needed to create a handmade piece.
I love that she is adaptable - able to mould and create a wonderful feature article or proofread an instructional feature. From start to finish it is pleasure dealing with someone as creative and reliable as Ansie.
Fiona Fagan - Stitch Craft Create Aus/NZ

The articles and columns are well written in an enjoyable, easy reading style. They combine well-researched information with quality photographs and often include thoughtful sentiments relating to handwork and wellbeing. The subject matter chosen is interesting and relevant to the target audience.
